Group classes can be wonderful for the shared experience of moving and breathing together, and for moving into stillness and silence together. If you are new to yoga, you may want to take a beginner's class in which you are taught the basics and learn to feel what proper alignment feels like in your body. Some group classes move too quickly for beginners.
